Berkshire Gas Parent Firm Makes Donation
PITTSFIELD — A $30,000 grant from the Avangrid Foundation, the charitable division of Avangrid, Berkshire Gas' parent company, has supported the opening of the new Avangrid Foundation/Berkshire Gas respite room at the Ronald McDonald House of Springfield. The respite room provides families with a place to stay while their children are receiving treatment at the hospital, or waiting for outpatient treatment or test results. A ribbon cutting ceremony recently took place at the new facility.
