Avangrid is committed to sustainable development and respect for the environment. Specifically as relates to responsible resource use, Avangrid commits to:
- Improve the circularity of its business activities and those of its suppliers through the sustainable use of natural resources, the implementation of life cycle analysis, the eco-design of its infrastructures, the application of the waste hierarchy, and the optimization of waste management and the use of recycled materials;
- Use natural resources (such as land, energy sources, water, and raw materials) responsibly and sustainably;
- Whenever possible, use renewable resources and actively promote and encourage responsible and sustainable use of natural resources by Avangrid stakeholders;
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste responsibly.
