Iberdrola becomes one of only two energy companies worldwide to obtain the certification

ORANGE, Conn.  — September 5, 2024 — Avangrid, Inc. (NYSE: AGR), a leading sustainable energy company and a member of the Iberdrola Group, announced today that is has been certified as a Top Employer 2024 in the United States by Top Employers Institute. This certification showcases Avangrid’s dedication to a better world of work and exhibits this through excellent HR policies and people practices.

The Top Employers Institute program certifies organizations based on the participation and results of their HR Best Practices Survey, which examines six HR domains consisting of 20 topics across the business and employee lifecycle. The audit includes areas such as people strategy, work environment, recruitment and selection processes, learning, well-being and diversity and inclusion, among others. 

In addition to Avangrid earning Top Employer 2024 in the United States, Iberdrola has been named an accredited Top Employer Europe. The company has been recognized as Top Employer 2024 in Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy for supporting the personal and professional development of its people and its innovative HR practices. Iberdrola becomes one of two energy companies worldwide that has the European certification of the Top Employers Institute, and one of four companies that are registered in Spain. Additionally, Iberdrola received the same certification in its operations in Brazil and Mexico.
