Habitat for Humanity to Celebrate New Home for Rochester Family
ROCHESTER, NY — September 22, 2026 — The Avangrid Foundation, the philanthropic arm of leading energy company Avangrid Inc., a member of the Iberdrola Group, in partnership with NYSEG and RG&E, joined Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity to celebrate the dedication of a new home at 375 Webster Ave. in Rochester. The home dedication, sponsored in part by the Avangrid Foundation, celebrated Marlene and her sons, Demario and Jayden, as they achieve their longtime goal of homeownership.
“There are few milestones more meaningful than receiving the keys to a place you can call your own,” said Pablo Colón, Director of Corporate Citizenship and Executive Director of the Avangrid Foundation. “Our Partnership with Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity helps more families put down roots, build stability and create a strong foundation for the future. Congratulations to Marlene and her family as they begin this exciting new chapter.”
During the dedication ceremony, speakers included Trish Nilsen, CEO of NYSEG and RG&E, Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity CEO Kim Brumber, representatives from sponsors Bank of America and Wegmans, and Marlene, who shared remarks as she celebrated becoming a homeowner.
