AVANGRID Awards Scholarships to Binghamton University Students

BINGHAMTON, NEW YORK - November 14, 2018 – New York State Electric & Gas Corporation’s (NYSEG) parent company, AVANGRID, Inc. (NYSE:AGR), has awarded scholarships to four Binghamton University students pursuing postgraduate degrees in business administration and engineering. Scholarships for these students are part of the company’s commitment to financially support students who are pursuing studies in the fields which help to create an innovative and sustainable future for evolving energy companies. The recipients were acknowledged and lauded at a luncheon hosted by the University on Saturday.
As the need to recruit and retain talented employees intensifies, AVANGRID has prioritized attracting and developing a highly engaged workforce with high-quality training, superior professional development and access to master’s degree programs that will enhance their qualifications for employment in the energy sector.

The Binghamton University Scholarship recipients are:
• Kasey Hill, Business Administration (MBA)
• Elijah Swift, Electrical and Computer Engineering (MS ECE)
• David Bremer, Mechanical Engineering (MS ME)
• Jason Ephraim, Electrical Engineering (MS EE)
A total of nine students have been awarded scholarships by AVANGRID in 2018.
