Avangrid Announces Finance Leadership Appointments

Effective July 15, 2026, the company promoted Ryan Shields to Senior Vice President, Finance & Corporate Development, and Teresa Bradford to Senior Vice President & Controller – Avangrid.

ORANGE, Conn. — July 16, 2026 — Avangrid, Inc., a leading energy company and member of the Iberdrola Group, today announced a planned leadership transition within its Finance organization.

Effective July 15, 2026, the company promoted Ryan Shields to Senior Vice President, Finance & Corporate Development, and Teresa Bradford to Senior Vice President & Controller – Avangrid. The changes return to Avangrid's previous organizational model, with both leaders reporting to the CEO and joining Avangrid’s Management Committee.

Shields, who currently serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, will assume responsibility for Finance & Corporate Development. In his new role, he will oversee treasury, corporate development, sustainability, financial strategy, capital allocation, and long-term growth initiatives. Since joining Avangrid in 2019, Shields has held several leadership positions within Corporate Development and has led numerous strategic transactions and enterprise initiatives.

Bradford, who currently serves as Vice President, Strategic Initiatives Controller, brings extensive experience across accounting, financial reporting, business development, and operational finance. During her long tenure with the company and its predecessor organizations, she has held a series of leadership roles spanning both finance and strategic growth functions.
