Stakeholders, public affairs and transparency

Participation in the communities in which Avangrid has a presence is an essential facet of its activities. Two objectives of Avangrid’s public activities are engagement with the communities in which the company operates and accurately and transparently conveying its position to our various Stakeholders. 

Avangrid actively participates in discussions related to public policy with federal and state officials, trade groups, and other stakeholders. We recognize the critical role those institutions play in shaping energy policy, fostering industry collaboration, and advancing shared goals. As part of our strategy, we engage with these organizations to promote a unified approach to strengthening America’s energy resiliency.

This participation is governed by federal and state laws, as well as Avangrid`s internal policies and protocols, which are provided for in its Governance and Sustainability System, including the Anti-Corruption Policy, the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and the Stakeholder Engagement Policy.

Trade and Industry Associations strategy alignment analysis

Avangrid discloses its trade and industry association memberships and how these organizations align with our Company’s emissions and resiliency strategy for associations where the fees, relevance and impact are significant. The determination of significancy is based on an assessment of the relevant facts and circumstances.
