The Avangrid Foundation is an independent organization that engages in mission-driven charitable giving and is the principal philanthropic arm of Avangrid, Inc. based in Orange, Connecticut. The Avangrid Foundation, formerly the “Iberdrola USA Foundation” and the “Energy East Foundation,” was established in 2001 and operates as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit registered with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and as a company limited by guarantee and incorporated in the State of Delaware.
