The coronavirus pandemic has created extraordinary challenges in our communities. The Avangrid Foundation is stepping forward to help provide critical assistance during this time of need.
The Foundation’s community partners are often the first point of contact for individuals and families faced with difficulties. The Foundation is uniquely suited to assist with efforts to make sure families are safe, have enough food and have adequate shelter.
By strategically collaborating with nonprofit organizations that have a national and local reach, the Foundation efforts will go directly to those who need assistance the most.
The Foundation has allocated $1 million for COVID-19 response efforts, its largest emergency outlay ever.
National organizations like the American Red Cross, Americares, Meals on Wheels and Feeding America will benefit from the Foundation’s support. Local nonprofits will be able to continue their critically needed work.

About the Avangrid Foundation
The Avangrid Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) organization that engages in mission-driven giving and is the principal philanthropic arm of AVANGRID, Inc., based in Orange, Connecticut.
Since 2002, the Foundation and its predecessors has invested millions of dollars in grants, contributions, scholarships and matching gift programs with a focus on building sustainable, vital and healthy communities, preserving cultural and artistic heritage, advancing education and improving the lives of people in the communities we serve.
The Avangrid Foundation primarily invests in qualified charitable organizations, programs and philanthropic partnerships in communities where AVANGRID and its subsidiaries operate.

In collaboration with AVANGRID, the Foundation also recognizes AVANGRID's scope of activity in executing the company’s corporate social responsibilities entrusted to it by the Board of Directors of AVANGRID.
